We are pleased to announce the upcoming launch of the Cornerstone Journal of Community Engagement (CJCE), a peer-reviewed, open-access, multidisciplinary journal published by Akademi Teknik Kupang, Indonesia.

CJCE is established as a scholarly platform for academics, practitioners, professionals, community facilitators, and multidisciplinary teams to document and disseminate community engagement and community service activities that have been directly implemented within communities.

Unlike conventional research journals, CJCE primarily focuses on real-world community implementation. Submitted manuscripts should demonstrate a clearly identified community need, an actual engagement or intervention process, meaningful community participation, evaluation of outcomes, and evidence of benefits or impact.

CJCE welcomes community engagement articles from various disciplines, including:

  • Education and training
  • Engineering and appropriate technology
  • Information technology and digital literacy
  • Health and community well-being
  • Economics, business, and entrepreneurship
  • Agriculture and food security
  • Environment and sustainability
  • Social sciences and humanities
  • Law, governance, and civic engagement

  • Disaster preparedness and mitigation
  • Community empowerment and rural development

  • Multidisciplinary community engagement initiatives

CJCE particularly encourages manuscripts demonstrating:

The journal will operate under an open-access publication model and articles will be published under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International License (CC BY 4.0).
